• Science alert: backflow incense cones are designed to create smoke that cascades downwards over the backflow burner creating an interesting effect. Once you have lit your backflow incense cone, it will begin to smoke, and because the incense smoke is heavier than air, the smoke will fall dramatically in swirls and twists, through the hole and down over the item, to pool at the bottom. Some brands of backflow cones will produce more smoke than others.
• Always use on a flat and stable surface with a heat proof mat or tile underneath to protect varnished surfaces from possible damage
