The Eye of Horus was formerly known as "The Wadjat", and represented the all-seeing eye of the Solar Goddess Wadjet. Later, when Horus fought with his brother Set for the throne of Egypt, his right eye was injured, and was healed by Thoth- so the Eye became the symbol of renewal and re-birth. This symbol is also associated with Ra, the father of all Pharoahs, who gave them divinity. Both Raand Horusare depicted as having Falcon heads, and therefore the symbol represents the Falcon shaped right eye.
AZURITE is a deep blue usually mixed with Malachite. It is associated with the Third Eye & Throat Chakras: a stone of inner vision, which stimulates insights into one's own life to see where our motives are based, which increases our discernment and enables a more truthful approach to our awareness, and self expression. Azurite also stimulates our intellect and helps us to assimilate new ideas and study subjects. It is also associated with the Base Chakra (your source of strength, courage & empowerment): it protects the etheric body from energy leakage, fatigue and psychic attack. It clears stress, worry & grief, transmutes fears, phobias & sadness so that we understand where they stem from. In healing, it is good for arthritis, knees, joints, bones, teeth, kidney, spleen, gallbladder and skin.
AZURITE is a Birthstone for TAURUS, SAGITTARIUS & CAPRICORN
