  1. ALGIZ ~ FUTHARK RUNE

The name "Algiz" means protection and defence. The symbol looks like a person standing with their arms outward, as if in supplication, so Algiz also means "connection to a higher power". When casting the runes, upright Algiz tells you that there is something new and positive coming into your life, which can take the form of anything: a new business, a new idea, a new friend, a new way of doing things. Your reaction will be at a "gut" or intuitive level, so you will know that its the right thing for you. All risks in any situation will be lessened due to the positive protection of Algiz, so take some risks and live a little on your intuition and conviction. Listen to Algiz with trust: it will take you where you need to go. New things can also come from within, so embrace the time to renew your spiritual life, rituals and practices whatever they may be.

  2. FEHU ~ FUTHARK RUNE

Origin of the word "cattle", Fehu is the symbol of earned/diposable income or wealth. Cattle were a measure of how wealthy a person/family was, but also indicated the hard work that it took to look after and raise the herd. Fehu is as much about the effort and hard work that goes into your dreams and goals, as it is about the reward/gain that will come out of the effort. It represents a person's self-worth due to the gains that Fehu promises. Money is only one representation of wealth, it is a mundane and simplistic representation of Fehu’s nature. Wealth means shelter (house/home), food, water, clothing, charity work, good/rewarding relationships and disposable assets, rather than the amount of unecessary luxury that one can wallow in. Today's society raises questions about what is truly valuable and what does it mean to be "wealthy". Wealth is not a static and measurable mass. With the influences of Fehu, you will succeed if you put in effort and persevere.
